After living and working in the River Valley area for 28 years, Matt and I have accepted teaching positions (two-year contract) at an international school in Shanghai, China! Now that Luke and Arie are both having their own adventures, and the RV school district faces many changes, we are embarking on a journey of a lifetime.
We will be teaching music at a private Lutheran school. Everyone speaks English at our school. Matt will be teaching high school band grades 9-12. Jen will be teaching middle school drama and choir grades 6-8. We are excited to meet new students, work with other band, orchestra and choir professionals from around the world, and experience life in China.
The school is providing us with a 3-bedroom, furnished apartment within walking distance of the school. The neighborhood is called the Green City due to its many green spaces and trees.
We will be leaving Spring Green on Thursday, July 24th. Our flight to Shanghai leaves from Indianapolis the morning of July 25th. We will return to Wisconsin June – August, 2026.
